Job Description:

As an Emergency Vehicle Upfitter, you will be responsible for installing and customizing equipment on emergency vehicles. You will work closely with a team of experienced technicians to ensure that all vehicles are upfitted to the highest standards and meet the specific needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and customize emergency vehicle equipment including lighting, sirens, radios, and other specialized equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure proper installation
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during the installation process
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide recommendations for equipment and installation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in emergency vehicle equipment to provide the best solutions for clients

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency vehicle upfitting or a related field
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of emergency vehicle equipment and industry trends is a plus
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
