Job Description
Electrostatic Powder Coating Technician — Spring Lake, MI

Picture your day starting on a clean, organized floor with a team that enjoys moving fast and doing things right. As an Electrostatic Powder Coating Technician, you’re the last stop before our products head out the door—your precision and care determine the finish everyone sees.

A day in the role

You’ll kick off by prepping parts: carefully cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure every edge and surface is ready. You’ll set up and operate powder coating equipment, applying coatings with consistent technique, then guide parts through the curing process while keeping an eye on timing and temperature to achieve a high-quality finish. Throughout the shift, you’ll inspect completed pieces, flag and address defects, and collaborate with teammates to keep the line moving efficiently. You’ll also help with basic equipment troubleshooting and routine maintenance to minimize downtime—all while following safety protocols and keeping your work area spotless.

What you’ll do
  • Prepare substrates by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required for coating.
  • Operate powder coating systems and follow proper application methods.
  • Monitor and verify curing results to achieve an optimal finish.
  • Inspect finished parts and confirm they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly workspace and uphold safety procedures.
  • Work with the team to improve processes and boost efficiency.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and perform routine upkeep.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in powder coating is a plus.
  • Experience in powder coating or a related finishing role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
  • Comfort working independently and within a team setting.
  • Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new methods and technologies.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials as needed.

If you’re energized by craftsmanship, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, we’d like to meet you.
