Job Summary:

As a part-time Diet Clerk at Westmoreland Manor, you will play a vital role in our dietary services department, ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met. In this fast-paced environment, you will work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, and commit to at least 24 hours per week. As a valued member of our team, you will monitor resident nutrition statuses, review diets and meal choices, and maintain accurate records. Responsibilities:

• Monitor resident nutrition statuses and meet with residents to review diets and meal choices

• Check tray lines for consistency and maintain computer records of meals and snacks

• Prepare the daily meal census

• Perform mathematical calculations for purposes of converting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies

• Operate commercial dietary equipment

• Manipulate heavy carts

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• 1-2 years of food service experience

• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred

• Complete and receive a passing score on a pre-employment Diet Clerk Assessment (written test)
