Diet Clerk PT
Job Summary:
As a part-time Diet Clerk at Westmoreland Manor, you will play a vital role in our dietary services department, ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met. In this fast-paced environment, you will work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, and commit to at least 24 hours per week. As a valued member of our team, you will monitor resident nutrition statuses, review diets and meal choices, and maintain accurate records. Responsibilities:
Monitor resident nutrition statuses and meet with residents to review diets and meal choices
Check tray lines for consistency and maintain computer records of meals and snacks
Prepare the daily meal census
Perform mathematical calculations for purposes of converting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies
Operate commercial dietary equipment
Manipulate heavy carts
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
1-2 years of food service experience
Prior experience in long-term care is preferred
Complete and receive a passing score on a pre-employment Diet Clerk Assessment (written test)
