Quality Inspector
Location: San Fernando Valley, CA
Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site
Industry: Aerospace Manufacturing / Repair

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of aerospace inspection experience, strong knowledge of quality documentation and traceability, and experience working within an AS9100 environment. Familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station requirements is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies.
  • Inspect incoming materials, hardware, and components for compliance with specifications.
  • Review Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, and traceability documentation.
  • Verify outside-process certifications such as plating, heat treatment, and NDT.
  • Inspect parts using engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and similar inspection tools.
  • Verify that inspection equipment is within current calibration before use.
  • Review work orders and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material or workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and product traceability.
  • Support quality investigations, corrective actions, and audit activities.
  • Assist with customer, regulatory, and quality-system audits as needed.
  • Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting approximately 25–40 lbs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of aerospace quality inspection experience.
  • Experience working within an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 145 Repair Station requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of inspection documentation, traceability, and nonconformance reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • First Article Inspection experience, including AS9102.
  • Knowledge of special-process certification requirements.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Previous aerospace repair station experience.
  • Relevant quality or inspection certifications.
