We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team at Walnut Creek Nursing and Rehab, a 115-bed skilled nursing facility in Erie, Pennsylvania. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being.

About the Role:

As an Activity Assistant, you will:

• Assist the activities department in planning, organizing, and conducting daily activities, such as games, arts and crafts, and social events

• Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, including assessing individual interests and needs

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized activity plans that meet the unique needs of each resident

• Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintenance of activity areas

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement activities that promote socialization, recreation, and relaxation
• Lead and facilitate group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and social events
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintenance of activity areas
