Assesses and intervenes appropriately to ensure positive outcomes during the post-operative phase. Key Responsibilities:Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.Monitors and cares for new tracheostomies. Provide post-operative care, wound care, and pain management.Administer medications and treatments, observing for reactions.Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams.Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Requirements:RN license in state of assignment.BLS (AHA) required. Experience in medical-surgical units preferred.Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.Work Environment & Demands:Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down).Rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays.Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
