Responsibilities of a Culinary Director:

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan nutritious and appealing menus that meet dietary requirements and preferences.

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

  • Lead and inspire the dietary staff, providing training and guidance to ensure the highest level of service.

  • Monitor and track the nutritional needs and preferences of residents, making adjustments to menus as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all dietary regulations and guidelines, including food safety and sanitation.

  • Assist in the development and management of the dietary budget.

Qualifications of a Culinary Director:

  • Previous experience in dietary management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

  • Strong communication skills.
