We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to become a vital part of our dynamic cardiology department. OUTPATIENT SETTING ONLY. THURSDAY AND SATURDAY

Job Summary:
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in helping diagnose and treat cardiac conditions by performing echocardiograms. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to providing exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct echocardiographic examinations, transthoracic echocardiograms only, to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Evaluate cardiac anatomy and function, and summarize diagnostic findings to support cardiovascular healthcare decisions.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of procedures and findings according to department standards.
- Ensure equipment functionality through regular maintenance and troubleshooting of technical issues.
- Adhere to established protocols and quality assurance measures to maximize patient safety and accuracy of results.
- Provide patient education on procedures, fostering a comfortable and informed environment.

Qualifications:

- Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting performing cardiac ultrasound procedures is preferred.
- Proficiency in understanding medical terminology and cardiac physiology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
