Job Summary
SRC Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support residential and commercial construction projects. This role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship while working closely with site supervisors and other construction team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Perform excavation, grading, trenching, site preparation, demolition, and underground utility work.
  • Read blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
  • Assess project scope, develop sequence of construction.
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Class A CDL preferred, Class B Required.
  • Experience with site utilities, excavation, grading, and demolition required.
  • Ability to read construction plans and work safely around underground utilities.
  • GPS/laser-guided equipment experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.


Schedule:

· Monday-Friday

· Day Shift (8-10 hour shifts)

· Overtime and weekends as needed
