Position Summary

Boren to Paint is looking for a reliable Painter and Remodeling Crew Member to join our Tyler, Texas crew. This role may include interior painting, exterior painting, prep work, masking, drywall repairs, carpentry support, jobsite cleanup, and general remodeling tasks.

The right person should be comfortable working with a team, following directions, showing up on time, and learning the Boren to Paint system.

Responsibilities

Prepare jobsites before painting or remodeling work begins.

Protect floors, furniture, landscaping, windows, fixtures, and nearby surfaces.

Perform masking, taping, sanding, caulking, patching, and general surface prep.

Apply primer, paint, stain, and coatings by brush, roller, or sprayer when qualified.

Assist with drywall repairs, texture touch ups, trim work, carpentry support, and small remodel tasks.

Keep tools, materials, trailers, and work areas clean and organized.

Follow crew lead instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Communicate clearly with the foreman or project manager when issues come up.

Respect client homes, businesses, neighbors, and property.

Follow safety standards when using ladders, sprayers, power tools, and jobsite equipment.

Help complete final cleanup, touch ups, and punch list items before the job is turned over.

Skills and Experience Preferred

Painting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Basic knowledge of prep work, masking, sanding, caulking, and painting is helpful.

Experience with drywall repair, texture, carpentry, trim, or remodeling is a plus.

Ability to work in Texas weather conditions, including heat and humidity.

Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, rollers, brushes, and basic jobsite equipment.

Sprayer experience is a plus but not required.

Must be dependable, honest, and willing to work as part of a team.

Must be able to follow instructions and complete work without constant supervision.

Must care about clean lines, clean jobsites, and professional results.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
