Savard Personnel Group is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and long-term career growth.
Key Requirements:
- Diesel mechanic experience required.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment.
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, commercial fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, commercial marine diesel engines, or similar diesel-powered equipment is preferred.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, steering, suspension, cooling, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform scheduled inspections, accurately document repairs, and communicate maintenance needs.
- Complete repairs safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Work independently and collaboratively to keep equipment operating safely and reliably.
- Must provide your own mechanic hand tools.
- CDL Class A or B is a plus but not required.
Shifts:
- Monday though Friday
- Possible OT as needed
- 40 - 50 hrs weekly
