Objective

This position is under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.

Essential Functions

Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. Maintaining a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in English as necessary.

Job Duties:

  • The PM is responsible for the overall program management and administration of this contract.

  • The PM is responsible for the coordination and completion of all contract administration and work requirements, special orders, and other duties as required by the government.

  • The PM shall ensure that all reports and all other deliverables from contract employees are prepared and retained or submitted to the COR as identified in the SOW and Appendix 7.

  • The PM shall be responsible for all on-site security matters to include appointing a designated person to take contractor employees' fingerprints, photographs, etc.

  • The PM shall report to the CO and COR.

  • The PM shall be armed and the chief person in charge at the work site.

  • The PM will normally work the hours of 0900-1730, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The PM may be called upon to respond to incidents and emergencies, which occur outside of normal working hours and may be directed by the COR to work different hours as the situation dictates.

  • The PM shall meet with the COR bi-weekly to discuss, training, manning, and other operational issues covering all areas of this contract

  • Ensure that Security Officers receive all required training.

  • Conduct post-inspections.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Undergraduate or higher degree in management, business, security, or a law enforcement-related field.

  • Five years of recent experience managing or overseeing contracts to provide security officer services to various locations and multiple facilities and to provide surge response to heightened security conditions, emergent needs, or special events.

  • Must have strong leadership ability, sound judgment, and effective administrative ability.

  • Must have strong analytical skills for resolving complex cross-functional problems.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to guide, direct, and coordinate the efforts of others.

  • Must have strong math and MS-Excel skills to track costs and expenditures against budget.

  • Must understand time management methods to enable satisfying multiple competing objectives.

  • Related security/law enforcement administrative and managerial experience.

  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management and interfaces with customer personnel.

  • Ability to prepare management, business, technical, and personnel reports, reviews, and documents for internal and external use.
