Product Design Engineer

The Product Design Engineer is responsible for leading the product development and design of the Kinsey Brands Division. The areas of responsible will be bringing new projects to market through design, managing product development cycle, supplier coordination, and product testing. The Product Design Engineer will work closely with internal and global manufacturing resources to design reliable, cost-effective concepts.Position Attributes Planning & organizationVerbal & written communicationSelf-motivation, dedication & discipline Leadership through design & engineeringProficient in design software (such as CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) Principal Duties & Responsibilities Design & engineer innovative, breakthrough concepts & products for soft goods that provide a business ROI.Brainstorm & create innovative, breakthrough concepts for hard goods through supplier project development.Product validation & functionality testingPrototype & test concept designs & initial engineering results Develop manufacturing efficiencies to reduce cost and increase product related functionalityProcure required products, subassemblies & manufacturing materialsMonitor competing brands & category-wide trendsExpectationsExecute projects on time, hitting milestones throughout the product development cycle. Compensate for global communication, design & procurement dynamics Operate under Non-Disclosure Agreement
