About the Opportunity

Prevail Recruiting is partnering with a premier, well-established architecture firm in the Los Angeles area to identify an experienced Job Captain to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong architectural professional who enjoys taking ownership of construction documentation, coordinating with consultants, and working closely with Project Managers and licensed Architects throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role

As a Job Captain, you will play an integral role in the development and coordination of architectural drawings and construction documents from design development through construction.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit, understands construction document production, and can effectively coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants.

We're looking for someone who can work independently when needed while thriving within a collaborative project team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate architectural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, and permit/construction drawing packages
  • Assist Project Managers and Architects throughout multiple phases of project development
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants
  • Maintain accurate and organized Revit models and drawing sets
  • Review documents for technical accuracy, constructability, and coordination
  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable California Building Codes and ADA/accessibility requirements
  • Participate in internal quality-control and document-coordination reviews
  • Assist with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination
  • Communicate effectively with internal project teams, consultants, and other project stakeholders
  • Help maintain project schedules and documentation standards


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field preferred
  • 3–5+ years of experience working within an architectural firm
  • Strong proficiency with Revit
  • AutoCAD proficiency strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience producing and coordinating complete construction-document sets
  • Experience coordinating engineering and specialty consultants
  • Working knowledge of building codes, ADA/accessibility requirements, and construction methods
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $90,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience
