What You’ll Do: Key ResponsibilitiesLifeguard Duties- Ensure swimmer safety at all times and enforce facility rules.
- Respond to emergencies and administer First-Aid when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting facility users, directing customers to lanes, and addressing safety concerns.
- Open the pool and complete all opening duties, including safety walk-throughs and water quality checks.
- Test and record pool water readings to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as locker room maintenance, window cleaning, and sweeping to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Oversee all facility cleaning and regular maintenance, including water chemistry, pool chemicals, and janitorial inventory.
- Monitor daily pool operations to ensure compliance with state and local safety regulations.
- Manage pool water chemistry and maintain chemical inventory.
- Perform maintenance tasks related to pool filters, pool deck, vacuuming, locker rooms, weight room, roof, sheds, parking lot, and outdoor grounds.
- Train lifeguard staff on cleaning duties and ensure quality and consistency in their work.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Lifeguard to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.
- Certifications: American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguarding & CPR certification is preferred. Candidates must be capable of obtaining these certifications, and we’ll reimburse the cost of certification and renewals.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks related to pool maintenance and lifeguarding duties.
