Position Overview:
The Admission Coordinator / Business Office Assistant plays a vital role in managing the admissions process, supporting administrative operations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of resident admissions, including intake, documentation, and communication with families and referral sources
Verify insurance coverage and assist with benefits coordination
Maintain accurate resident records and ensure compliance with regulations
Support billing processes, collections, and general business office functions
Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and facility staff
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare admissions, or business office.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification is a plus
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
