Strategic Wealth Advisors Group (SWAG) is seeking an experienced CPA to build and lead our in-house tax and accounting department. The Tax Director will oversee tax preparation and proactive planning while partnering with financial advisors to deliver comprehensive strategies that help clients retire with confidence. This is a unique opportunity for a CPA who enjoys advising clients, building systems, and creating a tax practice from the ground up.

Responsibilities
Partner with our financial planners to develop proactive tax strategies that align with clients' long-term financial goals.
Prepare and review individual, trust, and business tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
Provide year-round tax planning and consulting services, not just seasonal tax preparation.
Educate clients on tax laws, planning opportunities, and strategies to improve their overall financial outcomes.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and implement customized planning solutions.
Research federal, state, and local tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly to clients and advisors.
Serve as the firm's primary tax resource, collaborating with advisors on complex client situations.
Develop processes and best practices as we continue to grow our tax services.
Build strong, lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and trusted advice.
Stay current on tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients and internal team members.
Requirements
Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred).
3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a financial advisory environment.
Strong knowledge of individual, business, and trust taxation.
Experience providing tax planning in addition to tax compliance.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with financial advisors and other professionals.
Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in helping build and grow a tax practice.
