Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Wyoming, IL seeking a Horizontal Lathe Operator to join their team.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Horizontal Lathe Operator to operate CNC and/or manual horizontal lathes in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have machining experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality parts while meeting production goals.
Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC and/or manual horizontal lathes according to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
  • Load materials and monitor machine operation throughout production runs
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Make routine machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
  • Previous lathe operation or machining experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
