SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Position Description: Job Requirements: Bachelor degree in accounting
Position requirements:
\tP&L Review Monthly.
\tBalance Sheet review Monthly.
\tReconcile multiple bank accounts.
\tEnsure accuracy of postings
\tEnsure all bank transactions are posted daily via download from bank.
\tWork with clients as needed.
\tExperience paying taxes prefer payroll but sales tax and tangible tax will work
\tPayroll Experience a plus
\t3-5 years experience in accounting (month end close).
As Senior Accountant you will support staff in all financial matters by working with the Payroll Operations Director and other officers to set up control systems and manage company financial records. You will work to ensure that company accounting and financial processes are in legal compliance and in accordance with the best accounting practices.
Duties and responsibilities
\tCreating financial statements for clients as well as upper management
\tPreparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
\tAssisting Financial Managers with budgeting
\tEnsuring all accounting practices follow legal guidelines and established accounting principles.
\tAssisting with billing and tax documentation preparation
\tWorking with the company financial team to create internal controls and policies.
\tCollaborating with the IT department to maintain financial records and system processes.
\tIdentifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records
Skills and Qualifications
\tExpert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices
\tExcellent understanding of governmental guidelines and tax laws that affect the client.
\tHighly organized with keen attention to detail
\tProficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\tProficient in basic office and accounting software programs
\tCollaboration and teamwork skills
Education and Experience:
\tMust have a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
\t3-5 years experience in accounting (month end close).
\tExcel experience
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 Annually
