This position is responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and handling accounts receivable functions for a portfolio of companies within the organization.This position is well suited for a recent accounting graduate or an experienced accounting professional looking to expand their accounting responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly financial statements for assigned companiesRecord daily transactions and post journal entriesReconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accountsAssist with month-end and year-end closing activitiesPost tenant receipts and maintain accounts receivable recordsReview lease renewals and ensure charges agree with lease termsWork with property managers to resolve account discrepanciesAssist with special accounting projects as neededQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field with significant accounting coursework, or equivalent accounting experienceUnderstanding of basic accounting principles, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statementsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficePreferred:Experience with Yardi or other property-management softwareStrong Excel skills, including the ability to create and troubleshoot formulasExperience working with multiple entitiesBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packagePTO, health insurance, and 401(k)Consistent Monday-Friday scheduleOpportunities for community involvement and volunteer timeTraining and mentorship from an experienced accounting teamTo apply, please submit your resume to [email protected]
