Wound Care Nurse - RN or LPN

Job Summary:
Washington Care Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) to be responsible for managing wound care among residents and other duties assigned.

Essential Position Duties:

  • Assesses and treats residents' wound care needs.
  • Supervises nursing care to residents.
  • Complies with state and Federal Regulations.
  • Works Collaboratively with members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintains standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Provides back-up to Director of Nursing when needed.
  • Reviews assignments with Director of Nursing and Administrator.
  • Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences, and communicates them appropriately to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency procedures.
  • Receives and executes written and verbal orders from the physician or designated agent, as permitted by state regulations.

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:

  • Must possess a current RN or LPN license. License must be in good standings.
  • Must have current wound care certification.
  • Must have a minimum 1 year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a healthcare setting.
  • Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
