Lab Assistant

Job Summary : A laboratory assistant must be capable to assist in all the daily water quality laboratory and field activities. This includes to support the calibrations of sensors, field reading of water quality parameters, take water samples etc). The desire to learn and grow is very welcomed.

Responsibilities

- Collect daily water samples

- Perform basic water quality and chemical testing

- Clean and calibrate laboratory equipment and sensors

- Record and report test results accurately

- Monitor water quality and report issues

- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies

Requirements

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry (Undergraduate)

- Laboratory experience with chemical testing

- Strong Excel and basic math skills

- Experience with handheld meters and equipment calibration is a plus

- Comfortable working around fish, water, and wet environments

- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

- English communication skills required (Spanish is a plus)

- Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed

- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Schedule

- Monday – Friday (40 hrs a week)

- Daily shift with a rotational schedule.
