As a Beacon employee, you can be a part of delivering our mission and improving the lives of people with disabilities.POSITION INTRODUCTION: The Job Coach – Custodial Support plays a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities succeed in custodial and facilities‑maintenance positions. This role provides on‑site and individualized coaching to ensure participants can perform cleaning, sanitation, and routine maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and independently. The Job Coach teaches job duties, reinforces workplace expectations, and collaborates with employers to implement appropriate accommodations that promote long‑term employment success. Many employees have $0 monthly medical insurance premiums.Dental, vision, life and array of other insurance plans to choose from.Employee Assistance Program.Vacation, sick leave and extended sick leave plus holidays and floating holidays.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide individualized job coaching for participants placed in custodial or facilities‑support rolesTeach and model custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, and basic maintenance routinesSupport participants in learning workplace expectations, safety procedures, time management, and task sequencingAssess participant strengths, learning styles, and support needs to develop tailored coaching plansImplement and monitor disability‑related accommodations in collaboration with employersPromote independence by gradually fading support as participants gain proficiencyReinforce safe work practices, proper use of cleaning chemicals, and correct handling of equipmentAddress workplace challenges, problem‑solve barriers, and support participants in managing physical or sensory demandsMaintain accurate documentation of coaching sessions, progress, and employer communicationBuild strong relationships with employers to ensure job retention and satisfactionProvide ongoing feedback, encouragement, and skill reinforcement to participants QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or its equivalent.Minimum of six months of experience working with adults with disabilities.Increased technical skills related to field of work.Successfully pass the drug test and background check.CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/First Aid/AED CertificationFingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.Provide proof of good driving. https://servicearizona.com/motorVehicleRecordHave a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test.Article IX, and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.Ability to obtain and maintain a GSA clearance.Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb, and sit.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted.Ability to write accurate, clear, and informative case notes.Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.Ability to work, drive and travel independently to various sites.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to follow instructions.Ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and the public.Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.Ability to use good judgment.Ability to meet deadlines.Ability to learn and use equipment.Ability to use power tools, equipment, and machinery.SCHEDULE: M-W 8a-2:30pmWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage all qualified persons with disabilities and veterans to apply.
