A Secondary Lead Teacher - to Join our nurturing, nature-base hybrid program where learning is hands-on, meaningful, and rooted in connection.

Location: Southern Fresh Farms in Fort Myers Florida

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 3:30PM

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily in a classroom and educational setting with occasional outdoor instructional activities, educational field experiences, and collaborative learning environments. Requires standing, walking, sitting, computer usage, classroom instruction, student supervision, and communication with students, faculty, and parents.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor of Arts

Professional Educator Certification: English (Grades 6-12)

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience as an English Teacher, Secondary English Teacher, or closely related teaching occupation involving instruction across multiple grade levels.

Training Required:

None beyond normal employer orientation.

Detailed Job Duties:

%CF; Plan, develop, and deliver differentiated English Language Arts instruction for students

in grades 6–12 using multiple curricula while aligning instruction with academic

standards and individualized student learning goals. (25%)

%CF; Develop and implement interdisciplinary, project-based, and cross-curricular learning

experiences integrating literature, writing, history, global studies, research,

communication, and critical thinking skills. (15%)

%CF; Teach English curriculum and Global Perspectives coursework, facilitating inquiry-based

learning, research projects, collaboration, presentation skills, and

international-mindedness. (10%)

%CF; Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of students across multiple grade

levels and varying ability levels, including gifted learners and students with diverse

learning profiles. (10%)

%CF; Assess student progress using formal and informal assessments; maintain academic

records; analyze student performance data; provide individualized feedback; and modify

instructional strategies to support student achievement. (10%)

%CF; Collaborate with school administration, fellow educators, parents, and community

partners to support student success, communicate academic progress, and implement

individualized educational plans when appropriate. (8%)

%CF; Develop instructional materials utilizing multiple educational platforms, digital resources,

learning management systems, educational technology, and online curriculum resources

including instructional materials. (7%)

%CF; Supervise students during instructional periods, collaborative projects, enrichment

activities, educational outings, and school-sponsored events while maintaining a safe,

organized, and positive learning environment. (5%)

%CF; Participate in curriculum development, program evaluation, faculty meetings,

professional development activities, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting

the school's educational mission. (5%)

%CF; Perform related instructional and educational duties as assigned consistent with the

position of Secondary English Teacher. (5%)
