Assistant Manager at Poké2 Grill

Poké2 Grill is looking for one assistant manager to join our strong team. We're hiring for both stores located on 4150 McGowen St. #11, Long Beach, CA 90808 & 9523 Lakewood Blvd., Downey, CA 90240. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders
• Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up
• Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
• Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance and security standards are met
• Staff and schedule appropriately to control labor costs
• Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed
• Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
• Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant
• Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organized

• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Friendly, welcoming, and comfortable interacting with guests
• Able to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail during busy shifts
• Willing to learn multiple stations and responsibilities — we cross-train our team
• Comfortable following food safety, cleanliness, portioning, and recipe standards
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 40–50 lbs as needed
• Weekend and/or evening availability is strongly preferred
• Restaurant experience is helpful, but not required — attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn matter most
