Caregiver/Personal Care Attendant - Pediatric/Young Adult (PCA STK)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver/Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to join our team at My Friends Pediatric Day Healthcare Center in Stockton, California. As a PCA, you will provide direct patient care to our special needs children in a nurturing and supportive environment. This is a part-time opportunity with weekends and afternoon shifts (1pm-7pm) needed, with occasional weekend sleepover shifts. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including oral feedings, diaper changes, positioning, transfers, and assisting clients in the participation of independent and group activities

  • Assist clients in the participation of independent and group activities

  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

About My Friends Pediatric Day Healthcare Center:

My Friends Pediatric Day Healthcare Centers are specifically designed to treat children who have medical conditions and special needs. We employ licensed RNs and LVNs to provide nursing care. Trained Personal Care Attendants, like you, assist by completing non-nursing care of the children. Our Activity Leaders help ensure an environment where children not only receive nursing care, but can also make developmental strides and have fun.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, walk, bend, and reach as needed to perform patient care and/or transfer of patient

  • Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients, and families

  • Current CPR certificate

  • Caregiving experience preferred
