About Us

At Root, we’re more than just a café. We’re a fast-casual eatery that takes pride in sourcing many of our ingredients locally and crafting most of our menu items from scratch. We care deeply about customer experience, flavor, food safety, and food presentation—and we’re looking for someone who shares these values to help us manage our back-of-house operations.

What You’ll Do

As our Cook Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and ensuring our food meets the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing back-of-house (BOH) operations, including food preparation and kitchen organization.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Ensuring food safety, proper handling, and presentation of all menu items.
- Collaborating with the team to create a positive, productive work environment.
- Supporting the team in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a dependable, hardworking individual with a great attitude and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- A passion for food and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep a clean, well-run kitchen.
- A team-player mindset and the ability to work collaboratively.
