Shipping & Receiving Lead
$25+/hr
1st shift 7am-3pm M-F
Neenah, WI
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily shipping and receiving operations with a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Provide professional customer service to drivers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and quality.
- Report damaged or incorrect shipments and complete required documentation.
- Prepare shipping documents, including packing slips and bills of lading.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and monitor delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the ERP system.
- Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Lead the annual physical inventory process.
- Ensure materials are stored properly and delivered to the correct departments.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education preferred).
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience (certification preferred or ability to become certified).
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Bend, reach, twist, stoop, and climb ladders as needed.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely.
- Read labels, reports, and shipping documents accurately.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment
- Warehouse environment with changing temperatures, moderate noise, and occasional dust or fumes.
- Uneven or slippery walking surfaces may be present.
- Regular exposure to forklift traffic and warehouse equipment.
- Occasional weekend or holiday work may be required.
- Compliance with all safety policies and PPE requirements is mandatory.
