About Us

What started as a small studio near UCLA has grown into Los Angeles’ largest private music academy, serving more than 1,700 students per week, with over one hundred instructors on staff, across our Brentwood, Westwood, and Tarzana locations—with more locations coming soon.

Accolades

  • Winner, Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Businesses in America—ranked No. 47 nationwide in education
  • Consistently ranked among the top music academies in Los Angeles by ThreeBestRated and Expertise.com
  • Our co-founder was recognized as one of the top 10 female entrepreneurs in Los Angeles and presented with the award by Congressman Brad Sherman

Advantages of Joining Our Team

  • Work closely with the entrepreneurs and a small leadership team of approximately 10 people.
  • Room to grow: We are actively seeking people who can demonstrate ownership and responsibility and move up within the organization as we rapidly scale.
  • A “mini MBA”: This role covers sales, customer service, retention, operations, systems, and a variety of crucial skills for someone interested in learning how a business is built.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist approximately 60–120 students and family members per day.
  • Respond promptly to potential leads by phone, follow up daily with potential customers, and help them enroll in the program.
  • Explain lesson options, pricing, policies, and Academy benefits.
  • Follow checklists for opening, closing, and other Academy procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist clients with scheduling makeup lessons and regular lesson changes.
  • Perform light cleaning and help keep the building in order.
  • Support instructors and maintain strong operational standards.
  • Resolve client questions and concerns professionally.

Who We Are Seeking

  • Personality: Strong, positive, and extroverted; enjoys frequent interaction with clients, students, and team members.
  • Boundaries: Able to say no nicely while guiding students and teachers to follow Academy policies. Skilled at presenting these matters with confidence and grace.
  • Enjoys High Customer Volume: Comfortable serving a high volume of clients, such as at a busy Equinox front desk, fast-paced restaurant, premium hotel, or high-end retail location.
  • Skill in Sales: Comfortable enrolling students who call or inquire, consistently following up with potential clients, and asking them to move forward. Comfortable with leaderboards and light competition among similar team members for top monthly salesperson.
  • Ownership: Has a strong sense of ownership, can manage a process from beginning to end, and completes it fully without constant supervision. Our culture emphasizes exceptional quality and finished outcomes—not simply clocking out.
  • Coachability: Working closely with management and occasionally with the founders, we are seeking a person who is eager to learn and improve, is open to feedback, and has an exceptional attitude and interest in personal development.
  • Exceptional Time Management: Able to prioritize calmly when things become busy, ensuring critical deadlines are met while less-urgent tasks are carefully documented and carried forward.
  • Attention to Detail: This role includes requests that can take time to process. For example, a family may request a schedule change that is not currently available and requires three or four follow-up steps while waiting for others to respond. These situations require excellent memory, documentation, attention to detail, and follow-through.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in business or a related subject is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience required; retail or other customer-facing sales experience is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate at least one meaningful, long-term position with a previous employer, showing loyalty, commitment, and stability.
  • Must have demonstrated success and genuine enjoyment working in a fast-paced, customer-facing business serving a high volume of clients.
  • Reliable transportation and weekend availability required.

Please do not call or visit our locations regarding this position. Locations do not handle recruiting, any call to the locations will result in disqualification from the interview process.
