Heavy Equipment Operator

Rafter R Welding and Construction is hiring experienced equipment operators for underground utility work on a commercial project in Turkey, TX. Work includes trenching, shoring, bedding, backfill, and compaction on a sanitary sewer installation. This is a fast-moving job site with steady hours and the chance for ongoing work with our crew.

Equipment You'll Run

• Excavator (Cat 320 or similar)
• Wheel loader (Cat 930 or similar)
• Compact track loader / skid steer (Cat 275 or similar)
• Compaction equipment
• Water truck

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years running heavy equipment in construction or dirt work; underground utility experience a strong plus
• Able to dig to grade and work off of grade stakes, lasers, or GPS
• Comfortable working around open trench and trench boxes; OSHA trench safety awareness preferred
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance — this is a remote site
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Willing to work 50-60 hours per week
