Overview:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting accurate and timely payroll processing, with a strong focus on contract administration, payroll data management, and system maintenance. This role reviews compensation details, employment agreements, pay rates, deductions, and other payroll-related information to ensure employee records are accurate and up to date. The Payroll Specialist works closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, support compliance, and maintain the integrity of payroll data.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including reviewing, entering, and validating payroll data for accuracy and completeness
- Review employment agreements, compensation changes, and contract terms to ensure payroll information is accurately reflected in the payroll system
- Maintain employee payroll records, including pay rates, benefits, deductions, contracts, and other compensation-related changes
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure employee contracts and compensation details align with payroll setup and company policies
- Audit payroll data and system entries to identify and resolve discrepancies, missing information, and processing errors
- Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with payroll reporting and audits
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation and employee records
- Ensure payroll practices align with company policies, applicable regulations, and contractual requirements
- Support payroll system updates, process improvements, and data integrity initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve payroll-related questions and issues
