Role:
A well-established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all aspects of quality operations across a multi-site manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee the Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure regulatory and ISO compliance, and partner closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to improve manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for developing quality strategies that reduce defects, improve process capability, strengthen quality systems, and support operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality department, including mentoring and developing quality personnel.
- Oversee the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, customer complaints, and overall cost of poor quality.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Monitor quality metrics, production trends, and audit results to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Support customer and supplier quality initiatives, including audits, corrective actions, and quality issue resolution.
- Ensure documentation, inspection processes, and quality procedures are maintained and consistently followed.
- Participate in new product introduction activities, quality planning, and manufacturing readiness efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
- 6+ years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment, including prior leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Lean Manufacturing principles is highly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems, quality reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
