Extrusion Production Operator
11:00 PM–7:30 AM
Days Off: Sunday and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Position Summary
The Extrusion Production Operator performs semi-skilled manufacturing work supporting the extrusion, winding, rewinding, packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished roll materials. This hands-on role requires comfort working in a warm production environment, following safety requirements, operating equipment, and maintaining production quality and pace.
Essential Responsibilities
- Package finished rolls as they are produced according to work-order instructions.
- Operate equipment controls to safely load, unload, wind, rewind, and prepare roll materials for shipment.
- Obtain materials from inventory bins and report damaged, defective, or missing materials to the supervisor.
- Perform machine set-ups following standard operating procedures and work-order plans.
- Inspect equipment operating controls and safety stops before use.
- Review work orders and drawings, identify conflicts, and communicate concerns to supervision.
- Produce, package, print, label, and prepare finished-product samples for customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
- Report potential safety hazards to the supervisor or manager.
- Complete other production tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented production setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning to operate industrial machinery.
- Basic experience with power tools and mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Ability to follow routine oral and written instructions and read work orders or drawings.
- Legible handwriting and basic Microsoft Office skills.
Work Environment and Safety
This role involves machine set-up and tear-down during the plastic purging process and requires working comfortably in warm conditions. Candidates should be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment, including masks or respirators for exposure to fumes or chemicals.
Facial hair may need to be trimmed or maintained as necessary to ensure a proper respirator seal and comply with PPE requirements.
