As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining an assigned area of custodial duties according to defined standards. You will represent the organization with professionalism and competency, handling the challenges of various building schedules while serving clients, students, staff, and faculty. Efficiency and effectiveness in a team-driven environment are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Operate scrubber and waxer machines to maintain floors.
  • Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Remove trash and handle janitorial duties efficiently.
  • Sanitize surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in scrubber operation.
  • Proficiency in cleaning and trash removal.
  • Housekeeping, janitorial, and custodial skills.
  • Ability to work overtime upon request.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years' experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Sensitivity to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity.
  • Dedication to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution.

Work Environment

The role is based in a university campus with multiple student and staff-occupied buildings. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. The dress code includes a red/maroon top (polo or shirt), dark pants, and sneakers. Uniforms will be provided after 1-2 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Valley, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
