Income Tax Preparer

Portney & Co, CPAs is seeking an experienced Income Tax Preparer (Non-CPA) with 5+ years of hands-on tax preparation experience comfortable with preparing individual and business tax returns in Ultra Tax CS . They should be detail oriented, able to meet deadlines and will communicate with clients regarding missing items and questions. The job is full time during tax season and has steady hours year-round. Candidates without recent Ultra Tax experience will not be considered.

Because the position will initially be in-office at our Paramus, NJ location we prefer candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance of Paramus by car. There is the opportunity to transition to a hybrid arrangement after the candidate becomes familiar with our firm, clients and procedures. For the right candidate there is an opportunity to expand the role to include tax return review
