Commercial Glass and Glazing Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Glass and Glazing Project Manager to lead and oversee glass and glazing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive leader with strong construction management skills, exceptional project coordination abilities, and extensive experience in commercial glazing systems.

As a key driver of project success, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards while fostering excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of commercial glass and glazing projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless project workflows.
• Develop detailed construction estimates utilizing construction estimating software and manage procurement processes for materials such as glass panels, framing systems, and related components.
• Prepare and review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Utilize construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Foundation, and other tools for project scheduling, tracking progress, and documentation.
• Oversee construction site activities ensuring safety protocols are followed; monitor progress through site visits and schematic reviews.
• Read blueprints and schematics accurately to verify design intent; interpret contracts and technical drawings effectively.
• Manage project timelines through effective project scheduling; identify potential delays early and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders; conduct regular meetings to review progress and address issues promptly.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting work on-site against schematics and specifications; address any deficiencies immediately.
• Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and daily reports.

Skills

• Proven experience managing commercial glass and glazing projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts management, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software such as ProCore, Bluebeam Revu, Foundation, Acumatica, ComputerEaze; experience with project scheduling is essential.
• Ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively while managing time efficiently across various tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
• Solid understanding of construction safety protocols and site supervision practices.
• Technical knowledge of heavy glazing systems including curtain walls, storefronts, skylights; experience with commercial door hardware is highly valued.
