About the Role:
Dr. Jodi L. Rowson and Associates Inc. is looking for a motivated and caring Optometric Technician/Assistant to join their team in North Olmsted, OH! Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary patient testing including visual acuity, tonometry, autorefraction, and visual fields.
- Accurately document exam findings in EHR/EMR systems
- Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion, and removal techniques
- Maintain and sterilize diagnostic equipment and exam room supplies
- Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage front desk duties as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an optometric technician, ophthalmic assistant, or in a clinical eye care setting is optimal but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with EHR/EMR software is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
