Senior Account Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to maintain, grow, and expand relationships with key customers. This role is responsible for developing account strategies, growing sales, achieving sales targets, and ensuring customer needs are met.
The Senior Account Manager will represent the full range of company products and services while working closely with customers and internal teams to identify new business opportunities and drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with key customers and prospects.
- Grow sales and achieve assigned revenue and gross margin goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand company presence within assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute account strategies, business plans, and sales objectives.
- Understand current and future customer needs and develop solutions to meet them.
- Coordinate internal resources across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to meet customer expectations.
- Lead and direct Product Engineers in support of account objectives and customer activities.
- Manage short- and long-term priorities for Product Engineers at assigned customers.
- Develop business cases and ROI analysis for significant opportunities and new business.
- Manage contracts, pricing, future business opportunities, and customer negotiations.
- Monitor market and competitor activity.
- Support market segment plans, key projects, and growth strategies.
- Maintain accurate account records and provide regular sales and activity reports.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Follow all company 6S and Safety Guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent business experience considered.
- 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in a commercial vehicle or related industry.
- Strong business development, sales planning, and financial budgeting skills.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and sell based on customer needs.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, prospecting, and closing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented.
- High energy, professional, and results-driven.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities.
