Job Description

About Us:

At WCS Automotive in Rockland, we do things differently. We are a busy, well-established independent repair shop that values quality over rushed work. We know how stressful the traditional flat-rate system can be on slow days, parts delays, or rusty New England vehicles. That is why we offer a guaranteed 40-hour paycheck to secure your peace of mind, paired with the upside of an incentive system that rewards you for your high productivity. If you want high volume, steady security, modern diagnostic tools, and a team that treats you like family, we want to hear from you.

What We Offer:

  • Space to Work: Every technician is allocated 1.5 to 2 bays to ensure you can stay productive without waiting on parts or getting stuck on a single lift.
  • Financial Stability: Reliable, guaranteed 40-hour base pay—never worry about slow weeks or falling short on a job that went south or was not approved.
  • Earn More: Keep the full financial upside of a busy shop. Run 50 or 60 hours in a busy week and get paid for every single one of them.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Premium medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield, plus Altus Dental and Vision care (50/50 employee/employer premium coverage).
  • True Work-Life Balance: Steady 40-hour work week with a full 1-hour lunch every day and your weekends completely free.
  • Modern Shop Environment: Access to up-to-date diagnostic software, scan tools, and clean, well-lit bays.
  • Career Growth: Paid training, ASE test reimbursement, and opportunities to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models.

· Paid Vacation: Enjoy paid vacation time as part of our commitment to supporting your work-life balance.

  • Additional Perks: Uniforms provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic scan tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform multi-point digital vehicle inspections to ensure customer safety and map out necessary repairs.
  • Execute clean, efficient, and high-quality repairs the first time around to keep our customer satisfaction high.
  • Document all work performed and clearly communicate findings to the service advisor team.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Skill Level: Solid A-Tech or B-Tech capabilities (proficient in advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and major mechanical repairs).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience in an independent shop or dealership setting.
  • Tools: Tools and toolbox reflective of a tech at the A or B level required.
  • Certifications: ASE certifications are highly valued but not required; a willingness to learn is a must.

Requirements: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
