Product Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Product Engineer to support key customer projects from concept through production. This role works closely with Account Managers, customers, Design Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to develop solutions, reduce time to market, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, quote, and release products for On-Highway, Off-Highway, and Distribution markets.
- Create CAD models, drawings, BOMs, part numbers, and customer quotations.
- Coordinate product launches, prototype builds, customer trials, and production releases.
- Work directly with customers to identify opportunities and resolve technical issues.
- Support engineering changes, product improvements, testing, and failure analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation including FMEA/FMECA, DVP&R, DRBFM, load/stress analysis, and qualification reports.
- Lead or participate in customer and cross-functional project meetings and design reviews.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments.
- Follow all company 6S and Safety Guidelines.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of related experience, preferably in commercial equipment or vehicle applications.
- CAD and engineering drawing experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to recognize critical characteristics and work to approved product specifications.
- Approximately 70% sitting/computer work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform occasional bending/stooping.
- Approximately 25% travel by car and air.
- Climate-controlled work environment.
