Job Description: General Manager (Operations & Quality)
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee our daily facility operations. You will be responsible for balancing high-level business administration with floor-level production management. The ideal candidate is a technical problem-solver who ensures our machinery runs at peak efficiency, our quality standards meet customer expectations, and our administrative processes remain organized and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Machine Operations
• Technical Oversight: Supervise and operate production machinery, ensuring all equipment is calibrated, maintained, and running safely.
• Workflow Optimization: Manage the production schedule to ensure timely completion of orders while minimizing machine downtime.
• Maintenance Management: Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and lead troubleshooting efforts when technical issues arise.
2. Quality Control & Customer Service
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control protocols to ensure every output meets or exceeds customer specifications.
• Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for high-level customer inquiries, resolving technical issues or order concerns with a service-oriented mindset.
• Continuous Improvement: Gather customer feedback to identify product or process weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
3. Operational Leadership & Organization
• Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and schedule production staff to foster a culture of accountability and safety.
• Systems Administration: Maintain organized digital and physical records, including inventory logs, maintenance reports, and order tracking.
• P&L Responsibility: Oversee facility budgeting, procurement of raw materials/parts, and cost-control initiatives to ensure profitability.
Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing or technical operations environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management capacity.
• Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Organization: Exceptional administrative skills; proficiency with ERP software, Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), or project management tools.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical production needs and customer expectations.
