Are you a skilled technician ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Mechanic with 2 to 5 years of professional experience to join our growing fleet maintenance team in Peoria.

In this role, you will move past basic oil changes and step into advanced diagnostics, complex system repairs, and component rebuilds. We offer a fast-paced shop, modern diagnostic tools, and a clear path toward senior-level master technician roles.

What You Will Do

  • Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, air, coolant, and fuel system issues.
  • Component Repairs: Perform brake replacements, tires, wheel seals, steering/suspension adjustments, and air conditioning system repairs.
  • Engine & Drivetrain: Assist with or independently perform minor engine work, transmission servicing, and differential repairs.
  • Compliance & Safety: Conduct federal DOT inspections, document all repairs digitally, and maintain a safe, clean bay.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of professional diesel mechanic or fleet technician experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with electronic diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Davie4, Detroit DDDL, CAT ET).
  • Tools: Must possess a personal inventory of hand tools and basic air tools appropriate for mid-level work.
  • License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL Class A is highly preferred).
  • Certifications: Current DOT inspection certification and at least one active ASE certification are major pluses.
  • Ability to pass a background check and DOT physical drug screening.
