Barback

Job Summary: We are seeking a energetic and reliable Barback to support our bar team and ensure seamless daily beverage service. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and efficiently operating bar environment. You will work closely with bartenders to replenish ice, liquor, draft beer, and garnishes, while managing glassware cleaning and overall bar organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced atmosphere, possesses strong attention to detail, and is eager to learn the fundamentals of bar operations.

Responsibilities:

• Restock bar supplies, liquor bottles, beer kegs, wines, ice, and garnishes throughout the shift.
• Clean and sanitize glassware, bar counters, prep areas, and bar equipment continuously.
• Assist bartenders with prep work, including slicing fruit, preparing juices, and making syrups.
• Clear empty glasses, bottles, and trash from customer seating areas and the bar top.
• Change out empty beer kegs and soda boxes safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organized stockrooms, walk-in coolers, and storage areas for inventory control.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including deep cleaning and trash removal.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a barback, busser, or server assistant in a restaurant or bar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of basic bar terminology, spirits, and beverage service operations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, including liquor cases and beer kegs, up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods during high-volume shifts.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, hard-working attitude.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Required local certifications for food safety and alcohol service compliance.
