Location: Sarasota, FL

Job Type: 3+ month Temp

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr+ DOE

Hours: Fulltime - 40 hours Mon-Friday 8-5

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of current, applicable reimbursement or billing experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong Microsoft Office, database, and medical billing software skills
• Ability to type at least 30 WPM
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reimbursement Specialist to support reimbursement and collection activities for assigned payers. The Reimbursement Specialist will monitor claim status, research rejections and denials, perform necessary follow-up, and accurately document account activity to help ensure timely collection of payments.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor insurance claims and reimbursement status
• Research rejected, denied, and returned claims
• Perform follow-up to secure payment from insurance providers
• Document account status and collection activity accurately
• Perform mathematical calculations and audit data for errors
• Maintain accurate billing and reimbursement records
• Work independently while collaborating with the reimbursement team
• Communicate professionally with payers and internal team members

Preferred Experience:

• Previous home health billing experience
• Collections experience with Medicaid, Managed Care/Insurance, and Private Payers
• WellSky (Kinnser) experience
