Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dental hygiene professional to join our busy general dentistry practice serving patients in a single-doctor setting. The hours are Monday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday, approximately 8AM-5:00PM. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinician who values quality care, strong patient relationships, and a collaborative team environment. Our office is committed to providing comprehensive preventive and therapeutic services in a modern, well-organized setting where clinical excellence and patient comfort go hand in hand. We prefer a candidate who lives near our small modern Bayonne practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience and a strong foundation in both routine and advanced hygiene procedures. Responsibilities include performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, calculus removal, ultrasonic scaling, and STM - soft tissue management with attention to detail and patient comfort. Experience with Arestin Therapy, chlorhexidine, fluoride treatment, pit and fissure sealants, whitening tray fabrication, oral cancer screening, and local anesthesia is highly valued. Paperless practice using Softdent software and digital radiographs, training available if not familiar with software. Ability to assist chair side when needed and support the clinical team in delivering efficient, coordinated care is a plus.

We are looking for someone who is confident in patient education and able to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as the ability to connect with a wide range of individuals is an asset in our practice. Current CPR certification is required. A professional, compassionate approach and a commitment to high standards of infection control, documentation, and patient engagement are essential. 1-hour lunch break is scheduled, but as is the case with a dental practice, sometimes, things can rarely run over, for that reason, lunch hours are paid. On-street parking is available for added convenience. Compensation starts at $55/hour, but negotiable based on experience.
