Export Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Export Specialist with a strong background in international shipping and export operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing export documentation, working with carriers and vendors, and ensuring freight moves efficiently and in compliance with customs and international trade requirements.

Pay: $25-$30/hr.

Shift: 8am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Manage international export shipments from booking through delivery.
• Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other export documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, vendors, and customers.
• Ensure shipments meet customs, export, and international trade compliance requirements.
• Monitor shipments using TMS, tracking systems, and other logistics platforms.
• Resolve shipping issues including delays, routing changes, documentation errors, and weight discrepancies.
• Coordinate transportation modes, transit times, and shipment consolidation.
• Negotiate freight rates and vendor costs when needed.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status and potential delays.
• Manage multiple shipments and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has hands-on export experience, strong knowledge of international shipping processes, and excellent attention to detail.

Experience with export documentation, customs processes, freight forwarding, TMS systems, and international logistics is required
