CNC Press Brake Operator


New Tech Metals is seeking an experienced and dependable CNC Press Brake Operator to become an integral part of our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC press brakes and forming equipment, be comfortable reading blueprints and work instructions, and take pride in producing quality parts to customer specifications.

Shift Hours


First Shift
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–3:00 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM–12:00 PM


Second Shift
Monday–Thursday: 3:30 PM–1:30 AM
$1.00/hour shift premium
30-minute paid lunch


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate, program, set up, and change tooling on CNC press brake equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, work instructions, and product specifications.
  • Set up machines and tooling to produce parts according to customer and company requirements.
  • Form and maneuver sheet metal components safely and accurately.
  • Operate small hand tools such as grinders, buffers, and sanders as required.
  • Inspect finished and in-process parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Accurately count parts and complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Follow department routings, work instructions, and established manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain an efficient workflow while meeting production requirements.
  • Work effectively with team members and other departments to resolve issues and maintain production flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including machine surfaces and surrounding areas.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste reduction.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.


Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience required; CNC press brake, manual forming, or related metal-forming experience preferred.
  • Experience operating and setting up CNC equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and repeatedly lift, bend, reach, and maneuver sheet metal components.
  • Ability to safely handle the physical demands of the position.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
