Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - $60/hr

Pay: $60/hour (well above local market) | Full-time | Long Branch, NJ

We're hiring a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who can keep a real food production plant running. If you know electrical, mechanical, and PLCs and you like fixing things under real production pressure, this is a high-pay seat for someone who can own the floor.

This is currently a one-person maintenance role. You will be the entire maintenance department - not one tech on a big crew. That means real ownership, real impact, and the autonomy to run the floor your way.

THE SCHEDULE

Core production days are Wed-Fri, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Mon-Tue are flexible maintenance days focused on preventive work and catching issues from the week. Weekends only as needed for open work orders.

This is not a desk job and it is not a pure 9-5 - overtime is part of the role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair 3-phase / single-phase electrical systems (motors, pumps, VFDs, AC/DC)
• Maintain mechanical systems across food processing and packaging lines
• Run preventive maintenance so equipment stays reliable, not just reactive firefighting
• Diagnose problems fast, document work, and keep production moving safely
• Follow plant safety rules and use proper PPE every time

WHAT YOU BRING

• 4+ years industrial maintenance and/or industrial electrical experience
• Strong electrical + mechanical skill set; PLC experience is a big plus
• Experience with automated packaging and/or food processing equipment preferred
• Comfortable with food-safe lubricants and sanitation-aware maintenance practices
• Can lift 50 lbs and work on your feet in a plant environment
• Solid communication, basic computer skills, and practical math
