Job Summary:


The Manufacturing Technician operates processing and packaging equipment used to produce and package specialty manufactured products. This role supports daily production by safely weighing, combining, mixing, monitoring, and moving materials through various stages of the process. The technician will complete job-specific training to gain proficiency with equipment, work instructions, and quality/safety expectations. Other duties may be assigned as operational needs require.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and supports a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Follows all company policies, safety rules, and required procedures
  • Operates or assists in operating production and material-handling equipment (training provided)
  • Handles materials manually, including lifting/stacking bags and boxes
  • Maintains clean and organized work areas (sweeping, mopping, and general housekeeping)
  • Completes production paperwork accurately, legibly, and on time
  • Uses scanners and/or inventory tracking tools as required
  • Cares for equipment and reports issues promptly
  • Takes direction from supervisors and trained peers; works cohesively within a team
  • Works extended hours or weekends when production demands require
  • Flexibility in scheduling may be needed to meet customer/production requirements
  • Participates in forklift certification training (required for certain tasks)
  • Assists with facility and/or equipment upkeep, basic repairs, and general operations tasks as assigned
  • Communicates observed facility and/or equipment concerns and gathers relevant information for leaders and maintenance partners
  • Supports compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Operates safe handling and production manufacturing practices, GMP
  • Support production processes activities such as preparation, processing steps, cleaning/sterilization, and mixing/agitation (as applicable to the product line)
  • Support mechanical processing of product lines, including inspection, cleaning, basic preventive maintenance, and monitoring overall functions
  • Assist with production of core products and related work steps


Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production manufacturing, warehouse, or similar position.
  • Ability to understand written work instructions, complete production documentation, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of GMP Principles, desired.
  • Comfortability with handling materials, using scanners, and/or inventory tacking tools, desired.
  • Forklift Certification, desired but not required.
  • Prior experience with supporting production responsibilities and activities such as material preparation, processing, cleaning/sterilization, packaging, labeling, shipping, & palletize finished goods for shipment and storage.
