Community Engagement Coordinator
Job Description
This job is for 15 to 25 hours a week.
Arsenal Combat Sports Club is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen member engagement and expand Arsenal’s presence in the community through events, outreach, partnerships, and member experiences.
The Coordinator will independently plan and execute approved events and initiatives while working with the Executive Administrative Coordinator and Operations Manager for administrative and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an annual community events calendar.
- Plan and coordinate member events, family activities, celebrations, tournaments, fundraisers, seminars, open houses, and community initiatives.
- Coordinate tournament registrations, athlete communication, and competition-related logistics.
- Build relationships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, sports organizations, and community partners.
- Identify and present potential partnership and sponsorship opportunities to the CEO.
- Develop member engagement, recognition, retention, and referral initiatives.
- Coordinate vendors, volunteers, venues, registrations, equipment, supplies, and event-day logistics.
- Assist with event promotion, social media content, photos/videos, testimonials, and post-event communications.
- Manage approved event budgets and complete post-event evaluations.
- Ensure events and community activities reflect Arsenal’s brand and professional standards.
Collaboration
The Community Engagement Coordinator owns the execution of assigned events and initiatives.
The Executive Administrative Coordinator provides support with scheduling, communications, documentation, vendor coordination, executive coordination, and follow-up.
The Operations Manager provides support related to facility scheduling, staffing, equipment, setup/breakdown, safety, and other daily academy operations.

Required:
- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Professional and collaborative demeanor
- Evening and weekend availability as events require
Preferred:
- Event or community engagement experience
- Experience with vendors, volunteers, or partnerships
- Marketing or social media experience
- Background in fitness, athletics, recreation, nonprofit, or youth programs
- Familiarity with martial arts or sports organizations

Decision Authority
The Coordinator may independently manage approved event plans, timelines, vendors, volunteers, outreach, routine partner communication, and purchases within approved budgets.
The position does not oversee daily gym operations, staff supervision or discipline, hiring or termination, employee compensation, major expenditures, or organizational policy. Major initiatives, partnerships, contracts, and expenditures require CEO approval.
